Ready for the energy revolution

Innovative, future oriented and ready for the energy revolution ? the CEP CLEAN ENERGY & PASSSIVEHOUSE proved to be a full success for the fifth year in a row after taking place in the Messe Stuttgart from March 29th-31st. Thanks to its professional combination of renewable energies and energy efficient building and renovation, the CEP® could once again present a unique blend of innovations, current trends and practical solutions, solidifying its position as the largest passive house trade fair in Germany.

Baden-Württemberg's environmental minister Franz Untersteller remarked, ?It is great to see that with the CEP® we have a true state energy fair in Stuttgart that has established itself on the market and become a real meeting point for energy efficiency and renewable energies.?

Over 250 exhibitors were on site at the CEP® to present their innovative products, technologies and services. The range of themes spanned from energy services to solar technologies, energy efficient building and renovation, smart technologies, heat pumps and cogeneration.

?Even after 14 years, I am still amazed at what the exhibitors and sponsors have to offer. I am especially happy that the growth in the solar area has attracted several new exhibitors. We are on the right course with this trade fair, and the CEP will continue to grow next year,? notes Günter F. Armbruster, marketing director of the trade fair organizer REECO GmbH.

The fourteen conferences that accompanied the trade fair at the CEP were once again a huge draw for the visitors. Over 1,000 conference participants came to exchange up to date information on the central topics of the trade fair such as ?Energy-Plus Houses?, energy efficient renovation, energy management, contracting, solar technology and other topics vital to the industry.

The current theme of contracting was a guiding theme of the entire event this year. From the very beginning at the grand opening ceremony, where environmental Minister Untersteller spoke about contracting in his keynote address, to the new special exhibition in the newly added trade fair hall C2 and the 1st German Contracting Day as part of the CEP® conference, the topic of contracting for both service providers and consumers was a vital and informative topic.

The next CEP will take place from February 7th-9th, 2013 in the Messe Stuttgart.
