Nedap and Leclanché announce their cooperation for addressing the market of energy storage systems in which the PowerRouter will be compatible with Leclanché lithium-ion (lithium-titanate based) battery technology. With the use of Leclanché’s Li-ion batteries, offering high efficiency, high safety and long life expectancy, in combination with the PowerRouter, it will be possible to further maximize the use of self-generated solar energy.
“The energy transition can only succeed with flexible solutions for storing energy. This cooperation between Leclanché and Nedap will combine the benefits of the Lithium-titanate batteries and the PowerRouter to give users a great solution for their home energy storage system”, according to Joep Thomassen, Managing Director of Nedap Energy Systems. “Smart energy storage management has never been easier for a household. Nedap’s PowerRouter and Leclanché’s storage technology offer an all-in-one solution to boost the self consumption rate of an average solar household by up to 70%. With Leclanché’s state-of-the art Lithium-ion cells allowing 15.000 full charge and discharge cycles and its built in patented ceramic separator, the lifetime of the battery system coincides with the lifetime of the solar panels. Therefore, the combination of nedap’s PowerRouter together with Leclanché’s technology offers an efficient and long lasting storage solution for residential households”, said Dr. Ulrich Ehmes, CEO of Leclanché SA.
