Grid-connected photovoltaic system at the ECREEE headquarters in Praia, Cape Verde

The Spanish renewable energy company PROSOLIA has won the tender for the design, installation, commissioning and training ?Installation of a grid-connected PV system at the ECREEE Secretariat in Praia, Cape Verde? awarded by the ECOWAS Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, ECREEE. The PV system designed will provide to the office the estimated energy consumption with autonomy of 14 hours and the connection to the electricity distribution network will make possible to sell the excess electricity produced by the PV array.
ECREEE headquarters is located in Praia (Cape Verde), is the new intergovernmental agency of West Africa formed by the 15 States members of ECOWAS, dedicated to the promotion and stimulation of renewable energy with particular emphasis on rural and peri-urban areas.
With thus PROSOLIA continues reaffirming its presence in the African continent started 5 years ago with its arrival in Guinea Bissau in cooperation with training programmes in renewable energy, and later become a reality with the opening of the offices in Bissau, Burkina Faso and its headquarters for Africa based in Dakar.
