Another milestone on the way to the One-World Solar Collector

?This development is a further important step for the implementation of a single standard solar collector for the whole world?, Sunlumo CEO Robert Buchinger said on the research and development breakthrough. The One-World Solar Collector made from plastic is resistant to thermal and climatic influences, light weight and is 50 percent cheaper to produce. The innovative collector is suitable for universal one-world use and is thus easy to integrate in the solar energy system. ?The possibility for linking a One-World Solar Collector with thermosiphonic systems is an all-important breakthrough in opening up the world markets and it is simultaneously a major step forwards for the implementation of this innovative product?, Robert Buchinger said.

China is the world market leader for solar thermal systems
Thermosiphonic systems dominate the world market and China is the world market leader for solar thermal systems with a share of around 80 percent. Thermosiphonic systems are used virtually exclusively in China. Sunlumo is continuously developing its business relationships and contacts with China from an own representation office in the Hyundai Motor Tower in Beijing.

The One-World Solar Collector has a modular structure. The high-tech production facility for this innovation is delivered on a turnkey basis. ?The solar thermal collector market is growing by around 20 percent a year?, Robert Buchinger said. The annual requirement for solar thermal collector surface areas will have jumped from 50 million to around 400 million square metres by the year 2021. The fully automated production facility for plastic collectors will allow manufacture of some 500,000 one-world solar collectors per year and plant. The innovative product is fully capable of supplying the needs of this major volume market.
