Aleo solar appoints sales professional Shane Messer as Vice President

He has also been appointed General Manager of this US subsidiary. He began his duties on August 1, 2011 and has operational responsibility for the company?s performance and development in the United States. With Shane Messer, aleo solar is gaining an experienced sales professional and expert in the photovoltaic industry; he was Sr. Director of Sales for North America - Residential and Light Commercial for SunPower Corporation.

?His exceptional experience makes him the perfect fit for aleo solar to benefit from strong growth of the North American market?, says Norbert Schlesiger, CSO of aleo solar AG. Shane Messer emphasizes: ?From the beginning, aleo solar?s success has been built upon direct relationships with dealer-partners; and we are proud to bring that commitment to the North American dealer base. The aleo Power Network focuses on partnering with dealers - the foundation of the solar industry. While other manufacturers are re-examining their strategy, we are fully committed to this market.?

While aleo solar AG has maintained a presence in North America since 2006, the hire of Shane Messer represents aleo?s intent to expand significantly into this key photovoltaic market. Industry experts forecast the newly installed solar power capacity in 2011 to exceed one gigawatt in North America. Further, the European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA) estimates that two gigawatts will be installed in 2012 and four gigawatts in 2013.
